SmartASIC, Technology Inc. (SmartASIC) is a fabless semiconductor company that develops digital video display products. The company's charter is to become the worldwide leader in providing digital display solutions by delivering the best quality and most cost-effective system solutions with impeccable reliability to the worldwide customers.

SmartASIC has three main product lines:

l          Digital Video Display product line

l          TFT LCD and PDP Panel IC product line

l          Special Memory product line

Digital Video Display products include TV video processing chips and total solutions for various digital video displays including HDTV, CRT TV, LCD TV, PDP TV, Car TV and Wireless TV. TV video processors are key components for digital TV. Since there are many different video formats with different bandwidth and resolution, and there are also many different display devices such CRT based TV, LCDTV, Plasma and Rear projection TV, it’s critical to convert any incoming signal into high quality output for targeted display devices. SmartASIC TV processors can handle various formats of traditional analog TV video, and can perform scaling and de-interlacing functions to transform input video into the appropriate output video format. The processors also reduce input noise and improve output video quality using proprietary processing technologies. In addition to chips, SmartASIC also provides customers a complete reference system solution that includes the chip itself, a reference board, software and total bill of materials.

TFT LCD and PDP Panel IC products include TFT LCD panel Source and Gate driver chips, Timing controllers, PDP panel Data and Scan driver, and other related chips targeting at applications including LCD monitors, notebook, portable display and TV. SmartASIC driver chips incorporate proprietary circuit implementation technology combining advanced high-voltage semiconductor process to deliver the best price performance value.

Special Memory products include ASIC solutions for special DRAM modules. The solutions incorporate SmartASIC patented technology of memory management and defective storage handling with functional storage locations. Currently, SmartASIC offers solutions for SDRAM and DDR. DDR II and flash solutions will be available in the near future.
